Do you sell from this site?
No. This is our catalogue. The buy button takes you to our retail partner, who holds the stock and takes the payment. We explain the split on inside the label.
Why does the price here differ from the price there?
Because the partner sets it and can change it whenever they like. The figure on our page is what we saw when we last built the catalogue, and we say so next to it. The price on their page is the one you pay.
How do your sizes run?
It depends on the cut, so we say it piece by piece rather than making one promise for the whole rail. Read the note on the page you are looking at, and if it is still unclear, ask us. A shell sized to go over a jumper and a jersey top sized close are not the same garment.
What does the weather tag mean?
Every piece is tagged for the sky it suits, how far the sleeve runs and where the day goes. Dress the day takes those three answers and hands back the pieces that match, which is faster than reading 254 pages.
Where is my order?
On the partner’s order page, which carries the live updates. We have no view of it. How your order travels has the detail.
Can I send something back?
Through the partner, inside their window and on their terms. When the fit comes out wrong sets out what we can help with while that is going on.
Are the star ratings real?
They are the ratings left on the listings, read on the day we built the catalogue, and 222,554 of them stand behind the rail. They keep moving after we read them, so ours are close rather than current.
Do you make anything for men?
No. We cut womenswear and we would rather do one thing properly than half of two.
How do you decide what goes at the top of a list?
How many people have rated a piece. Not what it costs and not what it pays us. how the label is paid says how the money actually reaches us.
