Straight to the clothes

Inside the label

We are a small womenswear label. We cut for the day you actually have in front of you: the walk to the bus in a wet March, the trail on Saturday, the office that keeps the air too cold in August.

What the rail holds

The rail runs to 254 pieces across 7 sections. Rain shells and wind layers, sun and trail wear, tops and blouses, knitwear, dresses and skirts, trousers and shorts, and things to sleep in.

None of it is occasion wear. A LOMON piece is meant to be worn on an ordinary Tuesday, washed, and worn again on Thursday.

Why the rail is sorted by weather

Most clothes sites sort by season, which tells you what month the buyer was thinking about and nothing about your morning. We tag every piece by the sky it suits, how far the sleeve runs and where the day goes, and then you can ask the rail a question instead of scrolling it. That is what Dress the day does.

Where the buying happens

This site is our catalogue, not our till. Every piece here is sold by our retail partner. The buy button hands you across to their page, and from that point on they hold the stock, take the payment, and deal with delivery and returns.

We keep the writing, the sizing notes and the sorting. It is worth knowing which half is which before you write to us about a parcel, so we have said it plainly on how your order travels and when the fit comes out wrong too.

How we write about a piece

Every description on this site was written here, from the garment and its listing, not lifted from a supplier sheet. Where a piece runs small or the fabric has no give, we say so on its page. We would rather lose the sale than have the box come back.

Star ratings and rating counts were read from the listings on the day we built the catalogue. They move, and the number on our page can be a little behind the number on the partner page.

  • 254 pieces on the rail
  • 7 sections, sorted by weather
  • 222,554 ratings behind them
  • Listed from $5.99 to $45.99

Start with the sky

Tell us what the weather is doing and where the day goes, and we will pull the pieces that suit it.
