We layered this short dress in two plies, running a smooth knit under a fine mesh overlay in a green floral print. The boat neckline cuts straight across the collarbone. Long sheer sleeves widen toward the wrist, while the body stays close through the hem.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Boat neck and shoulder

The neckline sits wide across the collarbone, anchored by neat shoulder seams that keep the outer mesh aligned with the inner knit. It rests flat without gathering or pulling.

Mesh overlay and lining

We used a double-layer build through the torso. The printed green mesh floats over a soft, opaque underlayer, keeping the body covered while letting the print show cleanly.

Sheer bell sleeves

The sleeves leave out the lining fabric entirely. They run close along the upper arm and open into a soft bell flare at the cuff, cut single-ply from the printed mesh.

Wash and care

Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag, or hand wash to protect the outer netting from snagging. Lay the piece flat on a towel to dry. Do not iron or bleach.
