We cut this sleeveless top from plain woven cotton for a light, dry hand in warm weather. The front features stitched vertical pleats that open into soft folds through the torso. It fastens down the center with matching buttons under a standard fold-over shirt collar.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Point collar and placket
We set a clean shirt collar atop a straight front button placket. The buttons are stitched securely through reinforced facing so the front lies flat whether worn buttoned high or left open at the throat.
Pleated front construction
Vertical pleats run down the chest on either side of the center placket. They give the front panel extra ease through the body, letting the woven fabric hang straight down without clinging or pulling at the chest.
Sleeveless armhole cut
The armholes are finished with smooth internal binding rather than turned hems. We cut the opening high enough to stay close to the underarm while leaving the shoulder line square and free to move.
Cotton fabric and care
The Amy Green weave is pure lightweight cotton that breathes well and softens with each cycle. Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, then hang dry or use a low iron to smooth the front pleats.
