We cut this lightweight rain jacket from a coated windproof shell and line the body in a soft woven plaid. The waist pulls in with an internal drawcord to adjust the hang. It packs down small when dry and sheds light drizzle on the trail.

The details we cut in
Plaid lining and shell
The outer shell uses a lightweight coated weave to shed rain and block wind. Inside, we line the body and hood with a soft plaid fabric that adds light structure without bulk.
Hood and waist cords
We set an attached hood with matching drawstrings at the neck to gather the opening. An internal cord runs through the waistband so you can cinch the middle or let it hang straight.
Deep front pockets
Two wide patch pockets sit on the front panels. They give you a spot to drop keys or a small notebook and keep hands out of the wind while walking.
Care and upkeep
Wash on a gentle cycle or by hand in cold water. Hang the coat to air dry naturally, and skip the iron so the waterproof coating stays intact over time.
