We cut this black rain shell from a lightweight coated fabric with a smooth hand. Inside, the body and hood carry a classic big plaid lining that sits clean over knitwear and base layers. An adjustable waist cord lets you pull the middle in close against the wind.

Hood and neckline
The attached hood comes with matching drawstrings so you can gather the opening close in wet weather. It cuts high at the neck to block wind along the collar.
Plaid lining
We line the inside with a smooth big plaid cloth that adds light weight and slides easily over wool or cotton sleeves without dragging as you walk.
Drawstring waist
An internal waist channel houses an adjustable cord. You can leave the coat hanging straight or pull the ties to gather the shell closer to your middle.
Care instructions
Wash this coat by hand or on a gentle machine cycle and hang it to dry. Avoid the iron entirely so the waterproof coating stays intact over time.
