We cut this unlined black rain jacket from a lightweight, quick-drying woven polyester shell designed for light rain and wind. The front closes with a waterproof zipper, balanced by an elastic waist and a hood that pulls tight with drawstrings. It folds down into its own matching carry pouch.

The details we cut in
Hood and collar
The hood is cut with drawstrings so you can draw it close against drizzle and wind. It feeds directly into the raised collar along the front zipper track.
Waist and zipper
A coated waterproof zipper runs the full length of the front placket. We gathered the waist with interior elastic to keep the jacket sitting close without adding bulk.
Pockets and storage
Two front patch pockets give you room for keys and small items. When the weather clears, the whole coat packs down flat inside the included storage pouch.
Fabric and care
Wipe the coated shell with a damp cloth or rinse it with cool water. Avoid the washing machine so the water-resistant coating on the weave stays intact.
