We cut this oversized hoodie with dropped shoulders and a deep hood for cold mornings. The cotton-blend fleece is brushed soft on the inside to trap air without feeling stiff. At the chest, we stitched a clean whale graphic that sits flat against the fabric.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Whale chest embroidery
The whale motif is stitched directly into the fleece rather than printed, so it stays crisp through repeated wash cycles. It sits centred on the upper chest above the pocket seam.
Brushed fleece interior
We chose a cotton and synthetic knit with a thick, lofted fleece backing. It gives the body enough structure to hold its boxy shape while resting soft against the arms.
Front pocket and ribbing
A wide kangaroo pocket is anchored across the front waist with reinforced corner stitching. Both the cuffs and the lower hem finish in heavy ribbed knit to keep the edges neat.
Hood cut and care
The hood is lined in self-fabric for extra weight around the neck. Wash this piece separately in cold water on a gentle cycle, skip the bleach, and lay it flat or hang it to dry.
