We cut this button-down shirt from lightweight champagne satin that carries a soft, low luster. The fit is relaxed through the body with straight side seams and a gently curved hem. Fine topstitching edges the fold-over collar and cuffs to keep the lines crisp.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Lapel collar and placket
The shirt opens with a neat fold-over collar and a matched full-length button placket. We set the buttons closely enough to lie flat across the chest without pulling or gaping.
Satin drape and weight
We selected a smooth woven satin that feels cool against the hands and falls loosely away from the shoulder. The weave has a subtle surface sheen and moves easily under a blazer or cardigan.
Cuffed long sleeves
The sleeves are cut straight down the arm and gathered lightly into structured cuffs with tonal buttons. You can fasten them at the wrist or unbutton and roll them back on warmer afternoons.
Washing and pressing
