We cut this cropped shacket from a brushed flannel weave with a classic black plaid check. The body sits loose through the torso and finishes at a short, straight hem. You can wear it buttoned as a heavy overshirt or open as a light jacket over a camisole.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Lapel collar and buttons
The front closes with a row of buttons leading up to a fold-over lapel collar. We set the button placket with clean topstitching so the front panels hang straight whether worn fastened or left undone.
Flannel weave and weight
We chose a soft, brushed flannel fabric that holds its structure while keeping a light hand. The yarn-dyed black plaid pattern runs square across the front seams, back yoke, and long sleeves.
Cropped straight hem
