We cut this top from a lightweight jersey knit with a steady drape. An inverted pleat sits right below the V-neck, letting the body hang loose toward a curved hemline. The sleeves are cut short and finished with a soft ruffle edge. It rests easy through the shoulders and waist.

The details we cut in

V-neck and inverted pleat

The neckline opens into a clean V-band with a single inverted pleat directly beneath it. That fold opens up volume through the front body, so the knit hangs away from the midsection without pulling across the chest.

Flutter ruffle sleeves

We set the short sleeves with a gathered ruffle along the cuff. The light fabric moves freely around the upper arm, leaving plenty of room through the armhole without binding.

Curved lower hem

The hem is cut on a gentle upward curve at the side seams and drops lower across the front and back. It falls cleanly over the waistband of jeans, shorts, or a casual skirt.

Knit care and wash

Wash in cold water on a gentle machine cycle or by hand to keep the pleat sharp and the ruffle edges flat. Hang on a line to dry and press with a low iron if needed.
