We cut these culottes with a generous wide leg that falls to a cropped capri length. The woven cotton fabric has a light, dry hand and holds its structure while you walk. A wide elastic waistband keeps the rise secure without closures, and practical side pockets sit along the outer seams.

The details we cut in

Wide cropped leg

The leg is cut full from the hip down and finishes midway along the calf. That wide opening lets air move through the trousers and keeps the hem away from the ankle.

Elastic waistband

A wide band of gathered elastic sits at the natural waist. It pulls straight on without zips, buttons, or drawstrings, staying flat against the body as you bend.

Woven striped cotton

We chose a breathable cotton weave with red and white vertical stripes. The pattern runs straight down the leg to the hem, and the fabric softens with ordinary machine washing.

Side seam pockets

Deep pockets are sewn directly into the side seams. They sit flat when empty and hold small daily essentials without pulling the line of the hip out of shape.
