We cut these culottes wide through the thigh and calf, cropped well above the ankle. The cotton weave has an open hand that allows air to pass through freely. An elastic waistband gathers the top, while deep side pockets sit flat along the seams.

The details we cut in
Wide cropped hem
The legs fall straight and loose from the hip to a wide, clean hem. The cropped length keeps the lower leg bare and clear of shoes.
Elastic gathered waistband
A wide elastic band sits inside the casing to hold the waist without hardware or ties. It gathers the cotton evenly around the top.
Woven gingham cotton
We use a lightweight black and white checked cotton weave. The yarn-dyed pattern shows through both sides of the cloth with a soft, natural hand.
Deep side pockets
Two inset pockets are sewn directly into the side seams. They drop deep enough to hold keys or a phone without pulling the waistband down.
