We cut this two-piece set from a soft, lightweight knit with built-in stretch. The top features short sleeves and side slits at the hem for ease of movement. Below, the matching shorts sit high on the waist with an adjustable cord and deep side pockets.

What went into it
The details we cut in
V-neck top
We cut the neckline into a deep V that rests flat against the collarbone. The short sleeves are cut wide, and side slits along the hem keep the top from catching when you sit.
Adjustable waistband
The shorts feature a wide elastic waistband anchored with an exterior drawcord. You can cinch the rise to sit high or wear it lower on the hips.
Pocket construction
We set deep patch pockets into the front seams of the shorts. They lie flat against the leg when empty and hold small items without pulling the waistband down.
Wash and care
Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water or hand wash. Skip the bleach to preserve the white yarn, and avoid high-temperature irons.
