We cut this sleeveless vest from a lightweight sherpa fleece with loft on both faces. The body hangs straight over sweaters or long shirts with room through the chest, while the stand collar closes against the neck with a smooth front zipper. Two side pockets sit right at the seams.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Stand collar and zip
The collar stands upright when fully zipped to cover the neck or folds flat when worn open. We chose a smooth central zipper that pulls easily over knits without catching the fleece pile.
Lofted fleece fabric
We left the body unlined so the brushed sherpa texture touches the base layer directly. The material is thick enough to hold body heat over a tunic yet lightweight enough to pack into a tote.
Straight cut hem
The hem falls straight along the hip line to cover the torso without gathering. Armholes are cut wide so you can layer thick wool sweaters underneath without the fabric binding at the shoulder.
Pattern and wash care
The blue and white print runs across the entire exterior pile. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then hang the vest flat to dry so the fleece keeps its loft and original texture.
