We cut this unlined shell from a lightweight, quick-drying woven fabric that handles light drizzle and wind. The pale ice blue cloth has a slight translucency common to pale technical weaves. We gave it an elastic waist to gather the midsection and packed it into its own matching pouch.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Hood and front zip
The hood adjusts with a drawstring cord to stay put in a breeze. A waterproof front zipper runs from hem to collar to keep out wind and damp.
Elastic waist and hem
We gathered the waist with interior elastic to pull the jacket close. The hem falls below the waist and works with the gathered middle to stop drafts from riding up.
Front pockets and pouch
Two deep front pockets hold your daily items securely. When the weather clears, fold the jacket down into its included packable pouch for easy storage.
Coating care
Wipe the shell clean with a damp cloth or rinse it with cool water. Avoid the washing machine to preserve the water-resistant coating on the weave.
