We cut this matching set from a light, non-stretch cotton weave printed in khaki paisley. The tank top has a neat crew neckline and a concealed side zipper to pull on cleanly. The matching shorts are finished with deep slash pockets and an adjustable drawcord at the waist.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Crew neckline and side zip
The sleeveless top is cut with a standard crewneck that sits flat against the collarbone. We put a hidden zipper in the side seam so the cut stays neat across the torso without needing excess fabric.
Drawstring waistband and pockets
The shorts have an elasticated waistband threaded with a matching drawstring cord. Two forward-facing slash pockets are inset into the side seams, deep enough to hold a key or small pocketbook.
Khaki paisley cotton weave
We chose a thin, breathable cotton fabric with no stretch for this set. The woven ground holds the printed paisley pattern clearly, giving both pieces a structured drape that stays cool in warm weather.
Washing and fabric care
Wash this cotton set cold with similar tones, using a mesh laundry bag to protect the seams and drawcord. Skip the bleach. Hang the pieces up to air dry so the weave settles smoothly.
