We cut this two-piece summer set from a lightweight woven cotton with no stretch. The sleeveless tank sits close at the crew neckline and fastens with a concealed side zipper, while the matching shorts pull on with an adjustable drawstring waist. The vertical stripe pattern runs straight through both pieces.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Neckline and side zipper
The tank top is shaped with a rounded crew neckline and bound armholes. A hidden zipper along the side seam opens the torso flat so the top slips on without stretching the woven fabric.
Drawstring waistband
We finished the shorts with a soft casing and an adjustable front tie cord. It lets you cinch the rise higher or drop it lower on the hips to suit your preference.
Slash pockets
Two angled slash pockets are set right into the front side seams of the shorts. They sit flat against the hip when empty and give you a place for small everyday items.
Woven cotton care
Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag alongside like colours to protect the woven fibres. Avoid bleach and hang the pieces on a line to air dry.
