We cut these culottes with a generous wide leg that falls to a cropped calf hem. The soft woven cotton hangs straight from a full elastic waistband that pulls on without hardware. Two deep side pockets sit clean in the side seams.

The details we cut in

Wide cropped leg

The leg runs broad from the hip through the calf, giving the cotton room to catch the air as you walk. The hem is turned and stitched flat so it rests evenly around the lower leg.

Elastic waistband

A wide elastic band is encased directly at the waist to gather the fabric evenly around the top block. It pulls on without zips or buttons and holds its position through the day.

Woven gingham cotton

We use a lightweight cotton weave patterned in clean red and white grid checks. The cloth breathes well in warm weather, softens further with washing, and drapes naturally without clinging.

Side seam pockets

Deep pockets are set into both side seams so you can stow a key or phone without pulling the waist down. They rest flat against the hip when empty.
