What went into it
The details we cut in
Neckline and side slits
The top is built with a banded crew neck and a classic inverted triangle stitch below the collar. We notched the side seams at the hem so the knit drapes cleanly over the waistband without bunching.
Waistband and cord
The matching shorts sit on a wide elasticated waist that holds its position without pinching. An exterior drawstring lets you adjust the tension, and two side pockets sit flush inside the outer seams.
Knit stripe fabric
We chose a lightweight jersey with generous crosswise stretch that moves with the body and breathes well in warm weather. The colourful stripe pattern runs horizontally across both the top and the shorts.
Laundering and care
Wash the set by hand or run it on a cool, gentle cycle with mild detergent. Do not bleach. Air dry flat or tumble dry low, and avoid hot irons to protect the knit elasticity.
