We cut this two-piece set from a light, stretchy knit in solid white. The top has short sleeves, an inverted triangle inset below the ribbed collar, and vented side hems. We paired it with pull-on shorts anchored by an elastic drawstring waist.

The details we cut in

Neckline and side vents

The top begins with a round collar stitched with a triangle detail at the throat. Short sleeves give arms room to move, while side slits at the lower hem keep the fabric loose over the hips.

Elastic drawstring waistband

The matching shorts sit high on the waist with a broad elastic band. We routed an adjustable cord through the casing so the rise stays secure without pinching.

Slanted side pockets

We set deep hand pockets into the side seams of the shorts to hold small items around the house. The pocket bags stay flat against the leg when empty.

Knit care

Machine wash this set in cool water or wash it by hand. Line dry or tumble dry low. Skip the chlorine bleach and use only a low iron setting when needed.
