We cut this two piece set from a lightweight knit with give. The top has a round neck finished with an inverted triangle stitch, short sleeves, and side vents at the hem. Matching shorts rest high on the waist with a drawcord and side pockets.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Neckline and side vents

The top begins with a round collar finished with a triangle insert. We added small splits at the side hem so the fabric falls cleanly over the hips.

Elastic drawstring waistband

The shorts sit high on the waist. We cased an elastic band through the top and set an adjustable drawstring through the front so the fit stays put.

Shorts and side pockets

We cut the shorts wide through the leg opening for easy movement. Deep slash pockets sit along the side seams to hold small personal items.

Care and maintenance

Machine wash or hand wash in cold water with similar colours. Line dry or lay flat, avoid bleach, and use a low iron setting when needed.
