We cut this two piece lounge set from a lightweight stretch jersey with a soft, brushed hand. The crew neck top has an inverted triangle stitch detail and side slits at the hem. The matching shorts sit high on the waist with an adjustable drawstring and deep side pockets.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Crew neck and hem

The top has a bound crew neckline with a classic inset triangle stitch below the collar. Short sleeves give shoulders room to move, and small slits at the side hem allow the jersey to fall cleanly without catching.

Drawstring waistband

We gave the shorts a wide, elasticated waistband anchored with a functional drawcord. The rise sits high, and the legs are cut with enough ease through the thigh for resting or sleeping.

Side pockets

Two slash pockets sit flat along the side seams of the shorts. They are cut deep enough to hold a phone or small items without pulling the waistband down.

Wash and care

Machine wash or hand wash in cold water with similar colours. Skip the bleach and dry flat or tumble on low heat. If needed, iron on a low setting so the stretch in the jersey stays intact.
