We cut this two-piece set from a lightweight stretch jersey in light purple. The top features a ribbed round neck with an inverted triangle stitch detail and side slits at the lower hem. Matching shorts sit high on the waist with an adjustable drawstring and deep side pockets.

The details we cut in

Neckline and shoulder

The round crewneck is finished with a small inset triangle stitch below the ribbing. We set the shoulder seams wide to give the short sleeves an easy drop.

Hem with side slits

The hem of the shirt is split at the side seams so the fabric falls cleanly over the hip without bunching when you sit.

High waistband and cord

The shorts feature a wide elasticated waistband threaded with a flat drawcord. You can tie it to set the rise where you prefer.

Pockets and wash care

We set side slash pockets into the seam of each leg for keys or small items. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, avoid bleach, and press with low heat.
