We cut this two piece set in a lightweight stretch knit dyed in a solid khaki shade. The short sleeve top has an inverted triangle detail set into the crewneck and side slits along the lower hem. Matching pull on shorts feature a gathered waistband, front drawstrings, and deep side pockets.

The details we cut in

Neckline and side slits

We cut the top with a banded round neckline accented by a small inverted triangle stitch at the throat. The straight hem breaks open at both sides with low slits so the fabric settles easily over the waistband.

Drawstring waistband

The matching shorts sit on a wide elasticated waist that pulls on without fasteners. We threaded an exterior drawcord through the casing so you can adjust the gather, and finished the leg with a clean turnback hem.

Deep side pockets

We set slash pockets into the side seams of the shorts. They lie flat against the hip when empty and sit deep enough to hold a phone, keys, or a cardholder without pulling the waistband down.

Knit fabric and care

The lightweight knit holds generous crosswise stretch and a soft hand. Wash this two piece set by hand or on a gentle machine cycle with cool water. Skip the bleach and use a low iron setting if needed.
