We cut this sleeveless vest from a plush, high-pile sherpa fleece that holds its loft on both the outside and the lining. The straight front zipper runs up into a tall stand collar to seal in heat around the neck. It falls past the waist for full torso coverage over knit sweaters.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Stand collar and zip
The front zipper closes smoothly all the way to the top of the stand collar. You can wear it folded down over a shirt or fully zipped to keep the wind off your neck.
Plush fleece fabric
We selected a dense sherpa fleece with a soft, fuzzy texture inside and out. It provides substantial loft without adding heavy bulk under winter overcoats.
Armhole and torso cut
The armholes are cut deep enough to layer over thick winter sweaters without binding. A straight torso hem sits low on the hips for steady coverage when moving.
Side pocket construction
Two set-in pockets sit at the front waist to rest cold hands or carry keys and a phone. The openings are reinforced along the seam line for daily use.
