We knit this cropped bolero with an open front and long, set-in sleeves. The lightweight knit incorporates eyelet detailing that lets air through while keeping the layer light across the shoulders. It finishes high on the waist, leaving tops and dresses uncovered below.

The details we cut in
Cropped open front
We cut the front without buttons, clasps, or ties so it stays open over other layers. The hem sits high on the torso, resting well above the hips.
Eyelet knit stitch
The black yarn is knit with an open eyelet pattern across the body and sleeves. It gives the fabric a light feel without adding bulk under coats.
Set-in long sleeve
We shaped the sleeves to sit close along the arm down to the wrist. The knit has enough stretch to pull easily over woven blouse cuffs and sleeveless tops.
Laundering and care
Wash on a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag to keep the eyelet stitches from snagging. Lay flat to dry away from direct heat.
