What went into it
The details we cut in
Neckline and placket
The split V-neck opens into a short buttoned placket. You can unfasten the top buttons to alter the drop or leave them closed so the collar band rests flat against the collarbone.
Front and back pleating
We set knife pleats below the front yoke and along the back panel. The folds give extra room through the midsection and allow the hem to drape cleanly without pulling across the back.
Sleeve and hem cut
The long sleeves are set into standard shoulder seams and finish with clean, turned hems at the wrists. The bottom hem falls past the hips with a gentle curve from front to back.
Fabric and laundering
The cloth has a soft hand and enough weight to hold the pleats after washing. Wash by hand or on a cold machine cycle without bleach, then hang the shirt on a line to dry.
