We cut this tunic with a split V-neck and a functional button placket down the front. Small pleats open beneath the yoke to give the midsection ease, matched by corresponding pleats across the upper back. The white floral ground is printed on a midweight woven fabric that drapes straight down to a generous lower hem.

What went into it
The details we cut in
V-neck and button placket
The neckline opens into a notched V-band fastened with small matching buttons. You can leave the top buttons undone for a wider collar line or fasten them flat to close the throat.
Pleated front and back
Deep release pleats run below the front placket, allowing the cloth to hang loose around the torso. We repeated the construction across the back shoulder seam so the drape stays balanced from all sides.
Long set-in sleeves
The sleeves are cut straight from the shoulder seam down to simple open cuffs. They can be pushed up to the forearm or worn full length beneath a coat or light cardigan.
Fabric and cold wash care
The woven floral fabric has a soft finish and a midweight hand that resists cling. Wash the shirt by hand or run it on a cold machine cycle, then hang it on a line to dry without bleach.
