We cut this two-piece set for warm-weather lounging and easy travel. The top has clean cap sleeves and a single patch pocket at the chest, while the matching shorts rest on a gathered drawstring waistband with deep side pockets. Both pieces are sewn from a light, breathable jersey that drapes softly against the body.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Cap sleeve top

We shaped the top with a wide crew neckline and short cap sleeves that drop slightly off the shoulder. A single open patch pocket sits flat against the left chest, finished with double-needle topstitching.

Drawstring waistband

The shorts pull on over an elasticated waistband threaded with a flat fabric drawstring. We cut the leg wide through the thigh to keep the hem loose, allowing full ease of movement when sitting or walking.

Side slip pockets

Two functional hand pockets are set into the side seams of the shorts. They sit deep enough to hold keys or a travel card without pulling the waist down or distorting the line of the hip.

Care and wash

Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with like colours. Tumble dry on low heat or hang flat to dry. The fabric resists creasing in transit and needs little to no pressing after washing.
