We knit this sleeveless layer from a medium-weight woolen yarn with a clean, close texture. The mock neck stands upright without folding over, and the armholes are cut straight to layer over woven blouses or thin base tops. The hem is split at both sides so it rests flat over trousers.

Mock turtleneck band
The collar is ribbed to hold its upright shape around the throat. It sits close without pressing, giving structure under an open jacket or coat.
Sleeveless shoulder line
We trimmed the armholes with a clean knit border that lies flat against the shoulder. The opening is cut deep enough to clear long-sleeve shirting.
Split straight hem
Vents at the side seams let the lower edge ease outward over the waist of trousers or skirts. The back panel hangs level with the front.
Yarn and washing
Wash in cold water by hand or inside a mesh bag on a gentle cycle. Lay the knit flat on a towel to dry so the ribbing keeps its shape.
