We knit this sweater with a two-in-one neckline and matching split cuffs to give the look of a base layer underneath. The knit uses a viscose blend yarn that falls loose across the body and holds a clean horizontal stripe. Dropped shoulder seams keep the sleeves easy through the arms.

Faux layered neckline
A small V-slit cuts into the crewneck to show an integrated contrasting trim beneath. The collar lies flat against the collarbone without adding the bulk of a second shirt.
Dropped shoulder seam
The shoulder seam sits low off the natural shoulder, widening the chest and letting the striped long sleeves fall straight to the wrist. The torso hangs in an uncinched, loose block.
Split cuffs and hem
Small vents break the ribbed cuff bands and the lower hemline. These openings mirror the collar trim and let the waist clear trousers easily without gripping the hip.
Knit care
Machine wash cold or wash by hand in cool water, then line dry to protect the knit structure. Smooth the body with a warm iron if creasing forms during storage.
