A wide leg gives these mid grey lounge pants their slouchy shape and straight fall from hip to hem. We built the elastic waistband with an interior drawstring so the top edge stays flat, or folds down cleanly when you want a lower rise. Two open side pockets sit along the side seams.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Wide leg drape

The legs drop wide and straight from the hip down to an open hem. The knit fabric has enough weight to fall away from the leg rather than cling, keeping the line relaxed through the knee and ankle.

Foldover waistband

An internal elastic band holds the waist without bulk. We added an interior drawstring through the tunnel so you can adjust the gather, or roll the waistband down over the hips for a lower rise.

Side seam pockets

Two open slash pockets are set right into the side seams. We cut the pocket bags deep enough to hold keys or a phone flat against your leg without pulling the front panel out of shape.

Fabric and care

The mid grey knit is smooth on the outside with a soft, looped face inside. Wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours, then reshape the leg and tumble dry low or dry flat to keep the hem level.
