We cut this top from a textured stretch knit with an opaque finish. The neckline drops into a split V accented with small pearl buttons, while the short sleeves are gathered at the crown to build volume through the arm. The body falls loose and straight to the hips.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Neckline and button placket
The front opens into a shallow V-neck finished with neat topstitching. We set decorative faux pearl buttons along the placket to weight the center front without pulling at the knit.
Puff sleeve construction
Each short sleeve has light gathers along the shoulder cap to give it shape. The armhole seam stays set high on the shoulder, letting the fabric billow slightly before ending in a clean band.
Textured stretch knit
The fabric has a distinct surface texture with natural stretch across the grain. It holds its shape without clinging, stays completely opaque in black, and allows air to move freely through warm days.
Care and maintenance
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to protect the sleeve gathering and pearl trims. Hang or lay flat to dry to keep the textured weave and hemline straight over time.
