We cut these sleep shorts from a light modal knit with added stretch, paired here in black and sage green. The waist sits high with an enclosed elastic band that stays flat. Wide leg openings and a short leg let the fabric hang clear of the thigh.

The details we cut in
Modal knit fabric
The modal blend carries a fine jersey face and natural drape. It stretches easily and recovers its shape after washing, keeping the leg loose through the night.
Waistband construction
An enclosed elastic band anchors the top edge without bunching heavily. It holds the rise in place without extra drawstrings or bulk at the front.
Leg and hem opening
We gave the leg a generous opening so the hem sits wide and does not bind when you sleep. The bottom edge is finished with clean turnback stitching.
Care and maintenance
Machine wash cold or hand wash to clear packaging folds from the soft modal fibres. Dry flat or tumble dry low, and avoid hot irons or bleach.
