We cut this rain jacket from a coated, water resistant weave that packs down into its own back pocket. The funnel hood pulls close with drawstrings, and the full front zipper keeps the wind out. It weighs very little on the trail.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Hood and reflective details
We set two reflective stripes along the back of the funnel hood and added another across the chest. The hood opening tightens with adjustable drawstrings to hold steady against the wind.
Packable back pocket
The entire jacket folds down into the rear pocket so you can stow it in a pack when the rain clears. It takes up minimal room.
Zipper closure
The front closes with a watertight zipper that runs right up through the collar. It keeps wind and drizzle from cutting through the front seam.
Green shell fabric
We chose a lightweight, dense synthetic weave finished with a water resistant coating. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang it flat to dry.
