We knit this dress from a ribbed yarn with plenty of stretch so it sits close through the torso and hips. The silhouette opens out toward the lower hem to give the skirt room to swing as you walk. It finishes with a crew neckline and set-in short sleeves.

The details we cut in
Crew neck and sleeves
The neckline is banded flat in ribbed self-fabric that sits close to the collarbone. We set the short sleeves neat at the natural shoulder seam to keep the upper body clean and spare.
Ribbed knit body
We chose a fine vertical rib with natural recovery. The knit stays close against the torso and hips while allowing full stride through the day.
Flared fishtail hem
The dress runs straight down the leg before widening into a gentle fishtail flare near the ankle. That extra sweep at the bottom balances the fitted upper cut.
Grey purple colour and care
The grey purple shade carries a muted, cool undertone in natural light. Wash this piece cold on a gentle cycle, then lay it flat to dry so the knit retains its length.
