We cut this longline coat from a lightweight, water-resistant woven shell in deep wine red. Inside, a soft striped cotton lining runs through the body and hood for a smooth feel against layers. The waist features an internal drawstring so you can adjust the gather through the midsection.

The details we cut in
Hood and collar
The attached hood carries the striped lining and adjusts with front drawstrings. A high-set neck seam closes fully against driving wind and damp air.
Waist and pockets
An internal drawcord sits at the waist seam to change the drape across the body. Deep front flap pockets hold small gear and sit flat when empty.
Lined shell construction
We chose a dense, coated synthetic weave that sheds water and blocks wind. The striped cotton inner adds structure and weight without making the coat stiff.
Wash and care
Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water or wash by hand. Hang the coat to dry and do not iron, which preserves the water-resistant coating.
