We cut this base layer in a clean white knit with a smooth outer face and a brushed fleece back. The scoop neckline carries a narrow band of lace trim, sitting flat under heavy sweaters and cold-weather coats. The long sleeves are cut close to layer without bunching.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Scoop neckline and lace
The wide scoop neck is bordered with a fine lace trim. It sits low enough to stay hidden under open collars, winter knits, and buttoned cardigans without adding bulk at the throat.
Brushed interior fleece
We used a knit with a flat, stretchy exterior and a lofted fleece finish on the reverse. The brushed interior holds trapped air next to the body while remaining lightweight through active wear.
Fitted long sleeves
The sleeves are cut straight and narrow down to the wrist. Set-in shoulder seams keep the line neat, allowing heavy outerwear sleeves and wool sweaters to slide on smoothly overtop.
Laundering and care
Wash this piece in cold water on a gentle cycle. Skip the bleach and avoid extended soaking in the tub so the knit and lace retain their original tension and shape.
