We cut this quilted winter jacket in a muted grey shell with lightweight padding that sits close without heavy bulk. A brown faux-fur collar finishes the neck, while the cropped hem and cuffs are gathered to hold the shape. The front closes with an inner zipper backed by an outer snap placket.

The details we cut in
Collar and front closure
A short brown faux-fur collar sits upright against the neck. Underneath, an interior zipper runs the full length of the front, covered by a wide wind placket that fastens with metal snaps for a clean finish.
Gathered cuffs and hem
The long sleeves terminate in gathered elastic cuffs that sit snug against the wrist. We mirrored that gather along the bottom hem to pull the cropped waist inward and anchor the quilted panels.
Padded shell and pockets
Lightweight batting is stitched flat between the grey outer shell and the smooth lining. Two deep inset pockets sit low at the front waist, cut wide enough to rest your hands out of the wind.
Care and maintenance
Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar colours, or wash by hand. Hang on a sturdy hanger to line dry away from direct heat, and do not use bleach.
