We knit this lightweight pullover with a clean polo neckline and a foldover lapel collar that rests flat. The front placket fastens with small buttons down to a shallow V-neck opening. Fine gauge yarns give the fabric a smooth surface and a soft, close hang through the body.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Lapel polo collar
The foldover collar meets a short front placket fastened with matching buttons. You can leave the top undone to form an open neckline or button it closed to keep the collar upright.
Sleeve and hem finish
Ribbed stitches finish the cuffs and the lower hem to keep the edges flat. The long sleeves follow the arm cleanly and sit comfortably under winter jackets or coats without bunching.
Fine gauge knit
We selected a smooth yarn blend that knits up lightweight with a dense, even surface. It drapes close to the torso without feeling stiff, making it easy to tuck into trousers or skirts.
Washing and care
Hand wash in cool water using mild detergent to protect the knit texture. Reshape the damp piece, lay it flat to dry away from direct heat, and use a handheld steamer to relax any creases.
