We shaped this cropped tank in a light cotton and acrylic yarn blend. The openwork mesh body gives it texture without bulk, while the armholes and crew neck are bound with clean ribbing. It finishes with a gathered ruffle along the lower edge that falls away from the waist.

The details we cut in

We chose a cotton and acrylic blend for a lightweight knit that holds its shape. The hollow-out stitch allows air to move through freely, making it a natural warm-weather layer.
Crew neck and armholes
The rounded neckline sits close to the collarbone with a sturdy ribbed edge. We cut the armholes deep enough for easy layering over bralettes or lightweight tees.
Ruffled peplum hem
The body transitions into a soft peplum flare at the base. This loose ruffle breaks the straight line of the cropped torso and moves easily when you walk.
Washing and shape care
Hand wash in cold water or run a gentle machine cycle below thirty degrees. Avoid long soaking periods and lay the knit flat in the shade to dry so the stitches keep their form.
