We cut these lounge pants with a straight thigh that widens gradually below the knee. The fleece knit has a soft brushed back that sits warm against the leg. An elasticated waistband with an outer drawstring anchors the top, finished with deep side pockets.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Flared leg line

The leg falls straight from the hip and releases below the knee into a gentle flare. This wider hem opening balances the relaxed cut through the seat and creates a clean drape down to the shoe.

Brushed fleece fabric

We chose a cotton and polyester fleece knit with a smooth outer face and a lofted underside. The fabric has enough substance to hold its bell hem while remaining soft for indoor wear.

Drawstring waistband

The elastic band is wide enough to sit flat without rolling. We threaded an exterior drawcord through the waist channel so you can knot the rise higher or lower to suit your preference.

Side pockets and care

Two inset side pockets sit along the hip seams to hold small items. For laundry, wash the white fleece on a cold cycle with similar light colours, then tumble dry low or hang flat to dry.
