We cut this mini skort with a short outer skirt and knit inner shorts joined at the waistband. An offset slit breaks the side hem for ease of movement. The stretch jersey sits close through the hips without pulling.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Underlying shorts
We set lightweight stretch shorts inside the outer skirt. They anchor directly to the waistband seam, giving you the line of a micro hem with the utility of an active layer underneath.
Side slit hem
An offset slit runs up the side hem to ease the narrow cut. The edge is turned and stitched flat so it stays crisp through repeated wear.
Stretch jersey fabric
We chose a medium-weight jersey knit in a solid coffee brown. The cloth carries enough recovery to hold its shape across the hips while bending and stepping.
Garment care
Wash on a gentle cold cycle with like colours. Lay flat to dry or tumble dry low to preserve the elasticity in the inner shorts and outer shell.
