We cut this short sleeve shirt with an easy, ungathered body that sits away from the torso. The quick dry synthetic blend carries a UPF 50+ rating and stays light through warm trail days. Side slits open the curved hem so it rests flat over shorts or leggings without bunching.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Crew neck and shoulder

The round neckline is bound with self-fabric to hold its shape through repeated wear. We cut the shoulders with a gentle drop so the short sleeves hang clear of the armpits during movement.

Curved hem and slits

The hem sweeps lower at the front and back for hip-length coverage. Deep side splits allow the fabric to part cleanly when you bend, stride, or sit, preventing the shirt from riding up.

Quick dry fabric

We chose a lightweight polyester and spandex knit that dries rapidly after a hard run or a rinse in the sink. The fabric resists creasing and holds its stretch without bagging out at the elbows or chest.

Blue gradient wash

The colourway transitions from a pale tone at the shoulders down into a deeper blue along the hem. Wash on a gentle cold cycle with like colours and hang to dry out of direct sunlight.
