We cut this green top with a round crew neckline and a deep inverted pleat right down the front centre. The three-quarter sleeves hit below the elbow, leaving the wrists clear. It is sewn from a light knit blend with built-in stretch that holds its drape rather than clinging.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Centre front pleat
A single deep fold runs down the front seam from the crew neck. It opens up ease through the chest and torso so the fabric hangs straight without pulling tight.
Three-quarter sleeve cut
The set-in sleeves finish between the elbow and the wrist. We hemmed the cuffs flat so they sit smooth under a light jacket or cardigan when layered.
Stretch jersey blend
We chose a knit woven from polyester, rayon, and spandex yarns. The material is light and soft against the hand, with enough mechanical recovery to keep its shape through repeated wear.
Washing and pressing
Machine wash or hand wash in cold water without bleach to protect the green dye. The fabric packs down flat, so a quick pass with a warm iron removes any fold lines.
