We cut this sleeveless vest from lofted faux shearling that traps air without extra bulk. The stand collar zips right up to the chin, and the hem drops to the hip. It pulls on easily over long-sleeve shirts or under a heavier shell.

High stand collar
The mock neckline stands upright when fully zipped to seal out drafts around the neck. Fold it down when you want it open over a base layer.
Lofted shearling fleece
We chose a textured faux shearling with a soft, dense pile that resists surface pilling. The knit backing gives the fabric light give across the back.
Zippered side pockets
Two inset side pockets are set with secure zippers to keep small items in place. The pocket bags sit flat under the fleece without bunching.
Washing and care
Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the pile texture, then hang the vest to dry. Use a warm iron if compressed in transit.
