We cut this button-down from a lightweight woven cotton that breathes well and softens with washing. The pink check is yarn-dyed rather than printed on top, so the pattern stays clear across both sides of the cloth. Three-quarter sleeves and a straight-falling hem give it an easy, unconstricted drape over trousers or skirts.

V-neck and placket
The front opens into a modest V-neck that leads into a neat row of small buttons. You can fasten it fully or wear it open over a tank.
Three-quarter sleeve
