We cut this button-up shirt with an open V-neck and a straight hem that hangs loose off the body. The linen-cotton blend has a light, dry hand suited for warm afternoons and early autumn layering. Dyed in a muted grey purple, it buttons down the front without pulling at the chest.

What went into it
The details we cut in
V-neck and button front
The front placket buttons straight down from an open V-neckline. The band lies flat against the collarbone without stiff interfacings, keeping the front light and easy to unbutton.
Elbow sleeve cut
We cut the sleeves to hit around the elbow, leaving the forearm clear. The cuffs are wide enough to roll once or twice without binding the arm when you bend it.
Linen and cotton weave
The blend mixes the crisp body of linen with the softness of cotton. It drapes naturally away from the torso and softens with each wash cycle.
Cold wash and care
Wash by hand in cold water or use a gentle cycle with a mesh laundry bag. Add fabric softener to relax the linen weave, skip the bleach, and iron while slightly damp.
