We cut this button-down blouse from a lightweight cotton linen weave with a soft, open hang. The V-neck sits low and unbanded, while the three-quarter sleeves clear the wrists. It buttons straight down the front to an unvented hem.

What went into it
The details we cut in
V-neck and placket
The front placket buttons all the way up into an open V-neckline. We left the collar off so the neck sits flat against the collarbone without bulk when layered.
Three-quarter sleeves
The sleeves finish past the elbow with a straight cuff. This length stays out of the way during daily work and lets air reach the forearm.
Cotton linen blend
We chose a cotton and linen weave that softens with washing. It holds enough body to keep the loose shape while letting heat move through the cloth.
Laundering and pressing
Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag, or wash by hand. Hang to dry and press with a warm iron to smooth the linen texture.
